Dr. Brian Hennen is a family physician and Professor of Family Medicine at Dalhousie University. He is a medical graduate of Queen’s University and earned his Masters degree in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University. Dr. Hennen has served as president of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and as chair of the board of the Canadian Council of Health Accreditation. Dr. Hennen was acknowledged by the University of Western Ontario Advisory Board in Developmental Disabilities and is the 1999 recipient of the Hull-Roeher Award of the Ontario Association on Developmental Disabilities. He is a member of the Planning Committee of the Developmental Disabilities Primary Care Initiative and of an interprofessional teaching consortium that provides training to primary health care providers who care for adults with intellectual disabilities.
